The 7-8th grade students do an individual Science Fair project each year. These projects are on a topic that interests them. The purpose of the project is to test an idea following the steps of the scientific method. A requirement of this project is to generate a research paper that is written following standard English guidelines. The student’s projects are displayed in our commons area where they are judged by teams of judges.
Students may continue to compete by entering the District Science Fair. This competition is held on the campus of Western Illinois University. Selected students from this competition may advance to the State Science Fair. The State Science Fair is held the first weekend of May at the University of Illinois. Concordia students have attended both of these advanced competitions!
