School-sponsored events provide students, parents, grandparents, faculty and staff with many opportunities to gather together. In some cases these events help support our school as fundraisers. In other situations, events are held for fellowship and relationship building. Some of the events at Concordia Lutheran School are:
Discover Concordia: Open house to welcome prospective new families.
National Lutheran Schools Week activities: Special fun events throughout the first week of March to celebrate our heritage.
Grandparents Day: One of the special events of NLSW.
Golf Outing: Fundraiser to support CLS and provide financial assistance for families.
Moms in Touch: Prayer group that meets regularly throughout the school year.
Bowling Moms: Fellowship group sharing a Concordia camaraderie.
Parent Teacher Connection: Our local parent-teacher organization that supports the school in many ways. Please visit our page.
CF Walk: Students have the opportunity to participate in a walk for Cystic Fibrosis in the Spring.
Jump Rope for Heart: Students in grades K-8 participate in a special “Jump Rope Activity” during National Lutheran Schools Week to raise money for the Heart Association.
Additional events like back-to-school Potluck, ice cream socials for students, Concordia night at the Peoria Chiefs game and many more events allow the Concordia family to celebrate together throughout the school year.
