Grades You Teach: 6th and 8th Grade English

Years at Concordia: The 2008-2009 school year will be my first as a teacher at Concordia.

What attracted you to Concordia? The academic achievement of the students and the Christian atmosphere.

Why did you choose to become a teacher? I enjoy watching the “light bulb” go on when I have successfully taught a child something they did not know or hadn’t quite grasped before.

Why would you recommend Concordia to families? I feel that Concordia offers a different atmosphere for children. Concordia promotes pride in academics, the arts, sports, self, and especially God.

Tell us about your family. I am married to a wonderful man, Steve. I have four boys: Zachary, Jonathan, Joseph and Steven — the three oldest are at Concordia.

What hobbies and interests do you have outside of school? I enjoy reading and singing. I also keep busy attending my boys’ baseball, basketball and football games.

“The students at Concordia are not only excited to learn, but they take pride in their academic achievements.”
