Grade You Teach: 7th

Activity Sponsor: As well as being the Assistant Principal, I am the Athletic Director and sponsor of the Jump Rope for Heart

Years at Concordia: I have been teaching for 41 years, and all of them have been at Concordia!

Educational Background: BA in Elementary Education, Concordia University, River Forest, IL, and an MS in Health and Physical Education

Why You Chose To Become A Teacher: One of my grade school teachers encouraged me to consider God’s call to teach, so it was evident in my life from early on.

Favorite Concordia Memory: One of the most prominent is how the entire Concordia family rallied behind the Marks family when Susan was diagnosed with cancer, and how they assisted throughout her fight.

Family and Outside Interests: I am married to Ruth, a retired Kindergarten teacher at Concordia. I have two children and three grandchildren. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy working in my flower garden and playing and watching sports.

“Concordia offers a Christ-centered approach to education of the child and the family in all aspects of life – mentally, socially, emotionally, physically and especially spiritually.”
