Years at Concordia: 36

Favorite Concordia Memory: Going to contest with the Concordia choirs.

Family at Concordia: All 6 children attended Concordia; wife has taught at Concordia for 10 years. Children range in age from their 15-year-old son at Peoria Christian to their oldest child who is an assistant vice president at Chase Morgan in Chicago.

Outside Interests: Lawn work, gardens and flowers; adult choir, bell choir, men’s choir and playing organ for worship.

“I decided to become a teacher because I love helping children and I love music. I was called to Concordia for my first call to teach upper grade Social Studies and teach music education. In a Christian school, we are able to teach about God through all the subjects. Concordia is a great place to grow in faith and to experience a wide variety of excellent education in many areas.”
