Cadet Band is made up entirely of students in their first year of playing their instruments. Concordia band students have the opportunity to join cadet band in fourth grade, though it is open to anyone in grades four through eight. Students in fourth grade are given opportunities to try each instrument, and work with the director and his or her parents to select the most appropriate instrument.

 

Cadet Band performs at the Christmas Concert in December and the Spring Concert in May.
