Lutheran Honor Band Festival

The Lutheran Honor Band Festival was started in 2004 by band director Jen Moder, in order to give the top band musicians the opportunity to play in an Honor Band setting with an accomplished guest conductor. Students from Lutheran grade schools around the state converge in Peoria for the daylong festival that includes rehearsals and masterclasses during the day and a concert in the evening.

Previous guest conductors have included Pete Griffith from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Matt Luttrell from Illinois State University, Dr. David Vroman from Bradley University, and Robert Sheldon, internationally renowned composer and conductor.
