The Symphonic Band is the premiere ensemble of the Concordia Band Program and is made up of students in their third year or higher of playing an instrument.

 

Members of the Symphonic Band are eligible to try out for the All State Band (Illinois Music Educator’s Association (IMEA) Band). In the 2007-08 school year, students will compete in the Illinois State University Competition, which they have won in the Class A division for the past two years, and a competition at Six Flags, St. Louis.

Jazz Band is an optional ensemble open to any student in the Symphonic Band. The group performs at the Christmas Concert and the May Band Awards Concert.
