Renee Manahan

CLASS ACTIVITIES
Throughout the year, fourth graders participate in a Classroom Economy. They get paid “Manahan Money” for completing their weekly classroom jobs. They get to shop in the Manahan Store with the money they earn. They also have to pay “rent” for their desks until they save enough money to “buy” it. In January, they are able to set up their own stores and sell items they make. In October the children paint pumpkin globes. In the spring they participate in the Fourth Grade Wax Museum. Throughout the year they work on projects for each region of the United States.

MISSION STATEMENT

My mission is to provide a safe learning community where each child can feel successful academically while continuing to grow in their faith.

WHY YOU WANTED TO BECOME A TEACHER
God called me to be a teacher. I went to college with another major in mind and ended up graduating with a B.S in Education. I enjoy working with children and watching their eyes light up when they learn something new. I especially love math and want to share that love with all students, especially those who do not like math or think they aren’t good at it.

HOBBIES/INTERESTS
