TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
I love teaching kindergarten at CLS and can't imagine doing anything else. It warms my heart to see them soak up the Bible stories. It's a thrill to see them start reading and writing. And what fun to take the kids out for ice cream when they learn all their math facts. Every class is different, but they all like our trips to the pumpkin farm, planetarium, and Wildlife Prairie Park. I think the parents always enjoy our Christmas plates and performances at the Christmas concert. Again, I'm blessed and thankful to be here.

MISSION STATEMENT
Students should have the opportunity to pray and hear God's word daily to foster a lifelong desire to know God. I want to build respectful relationships with students and parents that encourage successful learning in a safe and orderly environment. Finally, I try to collaborate with colleagues for best practices in instruction and assessment.

WHY YOU WANTED TO BECOME A TEACHER
I wanted to be a teacher since I was in first grade. I had a fabulous teacher named Mrs. Miller who made school so interesting and fun. When I was in third grade, I came to her room and led a reading group. At that point I was hooked.

HOBBIES/INTERESTS
Summers and holidays are spent visiting or traveling with my husband and two children, Kyle and Kelly. I love my fairy garden, going to water parks and trying to catch up on scrap booking. My weakness is shopping at boutiques and gift shops.
